From midges to biting stable flies, flies are the most common pest horses face in Australia.
They cause irritation, rubbing and stamping, and can spread bacteria, making effective fly protection essential for comfort and health.
Only female mosquitoes bite, and they can lay up to 1,000 eggs in their short lifespan.
Their bites cause itching, skin irritation and allergic reactions.
Ticks attach to the skin and feed on blood, posing risks of irritation, infection and illness.
