"Hi I'm Kerry Gibson'
And This Is My "Love My Horse Story"
My love for horses started in New Zealand, as a young girl struggling with heavy, leaky canvas rugs in the cold and wet NZ climate.
Then after 10 years in North Queensland I moved to Braidwood NSW. I was totally unprepared for the contrasting Australian conditions. I was frustrated by poorly fitting rugs, my high-withered Polox horse "Smudge" was always uncomfortable and rubbed. I set out to create affordable, high-quality rugs to meet the needs of my horses and all the horses across Australia’s diverse climates.
I designed rugs with:
- A secure fit using the highest quality fabrics and fittings
- Bold colors and glow-in-the-dark reflectors for ultimate visibility
- A practical, no-frills design that fits well with no pressure points
- Largest size range in Australia
Ten years later, Love My Horse rugs are recognized among the best in Australia and New Zealand, offering affordability, visibility, and a great fit.
With over 30 years of horse owner and riding experience in multiple contrasting climates. I know what styles are needed for the diverse conditions to keep our horses comfortable. I am committed to delivering practical, stylish, and climate-adaptable rugs backed by a 100% satisfaction guarantee.
I am not just a seller, I am a user of my product and I am a designer of the countries best fitting rugs.
Sadly the Love My Horse business has been quiet for a few years post covid and the passing of "Smudge" after a 25 year love but I am ready again to make him proud. Braveheart will now be the Love My Horse feature horse.

"Smudge" The Love Of My Life For 25 Years
I am not an elete equestrian!
Im just an everyday horse lover like you.
My passion was to have fun and have a go at everything.
I worked very hard to provide the best care for him and being a grey I always protected him from the UV rays.
